Urasoe Castle Ruins, designated as a national historic site, was built in the 13th century and became a large castle around the 14th century, the base of the rulers of the time. It was the center of politics, culture, and diplomacy until the Ryukyu Kingdom moved its base to Shuri Castle. Located on a hill overlooking the city, the west coast ocean can be seen in the distance. It is one of the most important historical sites in the prefecture where visitors can experience the history of Okinawa.

The Urasoe Gusuku Yodore-kan has a replica of the tomb chamber, which is a must-see. Yodore" means "evening calm" in Ryukyuan language, and it is thought that the word became a descriptive term for the tomb because of its calm image.

This stone-paved road was built by King Shonei of the Ryukyu Kingdom in 1597 to connect Shuri and Urasoe Gusuku. It is said that the former king also passed through this road. The beautifully laid cobblestone pavement has been left as it was in those days, and some of the corners have become rounded over the years, which is very tasteful.
