Okuyama Park is known as the main venue for the NAHA Marathon, which is held every December and in which more than 20,000 people participate. Okinawa Cellular Stadium Naha is the only baseball stadium in Okinawa Prefecture that can host official night games of professional baseball. It has a permanent exhibition room, an observation platform, and a mangrove trail, making it a place where anyone can become familiar with nature and think about environmental conservation. The center also holds events to observe waterfowl and migratory birds as they change with the seasons.
